Aim: The aim of the present study was to examine the mediating role of metacognitive beliefs and anxiety sensitivity on the relationship between neuroticism with anxiety and depression comorbidity. Method: Method of the present study was correlational and the statistical population included men and women living in Tehran. A total of 358 volunteers (178 men, 180 women) from Tehran general population participated in this study. All participants were asked to complete NEO Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI), Metacognitive Questionnaire (MCQ), Anxiety Sensitivity Inventory (ASI), and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS). Results: The results of correlation analysis showed a significant positive association among neuroticism, metacognitive beliefs and anxiety sensitivity with anxiety and depression comorbidity. The results of path analysis also revealed that both metacognitive beliefs and anxiety sensitivity mediated the association of neuroticism with anxiety and depression comorbidity. Conclusion: Based on the results of the present study, it can be concluded that attention must be paid to the role of anxiety and depression comorbidity as well as neuroticism to the development, perpetuation, and treatment of anxiety/depressive disorders.

Abstract
Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of behavioral parent training program for mothers on signs of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) on their children. Method: The method was quasi-experimental using a pre- and posttest design with control group and had a two-month follow-up. Mothers of 30 children aged 9 to 11 suffering from ADHD were randomly selected from a group of 280, who came to Dr. Danesh counseling office with professional employment permit from counseling & psychology organization during 2011 till 2013; with diagnosis of ADHD verified by psychologist and psychiatrist. The children and their mothers were divided randomly into two groups: control group and experimental group. Measure: The measure of collecting information was Gado & Spriaphkin morbid symptoms questionnaire (1995).Evaluation took place before and after intervention, and two-month follow-up stages. The intervention was the parent training program developed by Barkley (2005).Mothers of experimental group were trained for 9 sessions. Mothers of control group didn’t receive any intervention. The data was analyzed using covariance method. Findings: The results showed that signs of impulsivity, attention deficit in children of trained mothers were decreased in comparison with control group and pretest. These findings were also observed in the two-month follow-up. Conclusion: Based on the results, this program is an effective method for decreasing signs of attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity in children who suffer from attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between early maladaptive schemas of mothers with parenting styles and externalizing symptoms of their children. Method: This study utilized a descriptive correlational design. Statistical population of this study was included of all male students of 6th grade elementary schools of District 3 of Karaj city with the quantity of 1080, through a purposive, 150 students were selected. Mothers of these students answered to the Young Schemas Questionnaire (1998) and Alabama Parenting Questionnaire (1996) and their teachers answered to the Rutter Teacher Questionnaire (1967). Data were studied through correlation and multiple regression techniques. Results: There is a significant relationship between parent’s maladaptive schemas and parenting styles and other-oriented is a negative predictor for corporal punishment and overvigilance and inhibition are predictor of inconsistent discipline. There is a significant relationship between parenting styles and externalizing disorders and poor monitoring is a predictor for social maladjustment in children and poor monitoring and parent involvement are predictor of aggression and hyperactivity in children. Conclusion: Early maladaptive schemas are effective in the formation specific parenting styles and finally externalizing disorders in children. Parent could be targeted in treatment of externalizing disorder in children
