English

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the psychometric properties of Coetzee et al.'s (2020) Career Well-Being Scale.
Method: The present research employed a descriptive correlational method. The statistical population comprised university employees in the city of Isfahan in 2025. From this population, 360 individuals were selected using a random sampling method. Research instruments included Coetzee et al.'s (2020) Career Well-Being Scale, Schultz's (2008) Occupational Well-being Scale, and Maslach and Jackson's (1981) Burnout Inventory. Data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis, correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha, McDonald's omega coefficient, and composite reliability index, employing the specialized software SPSS-26 and Mplus 8.3. Convergent and divergent validity of the scale were calculated using the Occupational Well-being and Burnout Inventories.
Conclusion: The results indicated that the three- first-order factor model, which positive affective career, career meaningfulness, and career networking/social support, and the first-factor second-order model demonstrated good fit. The Cronbach's alpha values for career well-being, positive affective career state, career meaningfulness, and career networking/social support were 0.92, 0.87, 0.82, and 0.84, respectively, and McDonald's Omega values were 0.88, 0.87, 0.83, and 0.84, respectively.
Results: In sum, the research findings indicated that the Career Well-Being Scale possesses acceptable psychometric properties for employees. Therefore, counselors and organizations can utilize this instrument in studies related to career well-being.
